DigiHealth Applications
the beginning of making a difference
Hand Hygiene Improvement
DigiHealth is an ideal tool for healthcare institutions to implement hand hygiene improvement strategy. It incorporates various key elements of WHO Multimodal Hand Hygiene Improvement Strategy to achieve successful and sustained hand hygiene improvement. These include Reminders in The Workplace, Training/Education, and Institutional Safety Climate, as described in WHO Guide to Implementation.

In application, DigiHealth prompts and reminds healthcare staff, patients, and visitors about the importance of hand hygiene, the moments for hand hygiene, and the procedure for performing it in graphical illustrations and instructional videos.

In contrast to printed poster/sign, DigiHealth offers dynamic reminders to increase visual stimuli. When placed nearby a hand sanitizer dispenser, the display with its visual cues helps improve the rate of connecting reminders with the act of hand hygiene, and therefore maximizing the effectiveness of hand hygiene improvement strategy.

When deployed across a healthcare facility, DigiHealth not only helps healthcare institutions revitalize their hand hygiene programs but it also creates a “hand hygiene-aware” environment to help achieve hand hygiene improvement, embed a hand hygiene culture, and communicate to the audiences the leadership commitment to hand hygiene and safety issues.
Patient/Visitor Empowerment and Infection Prevention & Control
DigiHealth provides healthcare institutions an effective platform to encourage and promote patient/visitor empowerment in infection prevention and control.

DigiHealth presents educational information in an ease to understand format on topics such as healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and their serious burden on patients and healthcare systems, the means of transmission of pathogens, the When’s and Why’s of ‘4 Moments for Hand Hygiene’, how to handrub, and the importance of hand hygiene in healthcare settings to prevent HAIs.

Health & Safety Literacy
DigiHealth provides healthcare institutions a platform to create awareness and promote health and safety literacy to various audiences, enabling them to increase control over their own health and safety.

DigiHealth incorporates various informative contents that cover health and safety topics relevant to WHO Promoting Health guide. These topics include healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), the importance of hand hygiene, alcohol consumption and health risks, obesity and chronic diseases, healthy eating and food guide, adolescent mental health and mental illnesses, and more.

They are used to educate and empower audiences to take action to improve their health by changing their personal lifestyles, and thus improving community health as a result.

Communications & Engagement
DigiHealth can serve as a platform for healthcare institutions to augment their communications and engagement with their staff, patients, and visitors.

When deployed across a healthcare facility, DigiHealth platform can:
  • Provide a strong communication network that is used to underline the institution’s philosophy and position statement, and to reinforce institution’s commitment to quality patient care and a “culture of safety”

  • Provide a “virtual presence” for all levels of leadership with leadership photos and brief messages to staff, patients, and visitors to underline their support on various initiatives, e.g. leadership commitment to hand hygiene

  • Promote an environment of “collective mindfulness” in which staff, patients, and visitors are encouraged to report small problems or unsafe conditions before they become substantial risk

  • Foster open communication and trust through the creation and reinforcement of a blame-free environment

  • Serve as a platform to deliver a variety of current or future campaign posters/messages

  • Encourage greater mindfulness of the implementation of new clinical practice changes or safety initiatives amongst staff

  • Engage staff to help lower the burden of medical errors through the regular use of key messages and visual reminders

  • Provide an additional strategy to assist healthcare institutions in their engagement activities and communicating important messages about their organizational goals and priorities

  • Promote general health and safety, such as annual influenza immunization, falls prevention, sick reporting, and other wellness initiatives
